Senator Chris Murphy's Effort to Re-open Government Blocked by Senate Republicans

U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) offered a motion to temporarily re-open the federal government and ensure that the military and federal government employees get paid while negotiations continue. His motion was blocked by Senate Republicans.
