Senator Chris Murphy on Thursday spoke at a U.S. Appropriations Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies subcommittee hearing on President Biden’s Fiscal Year 2025 budget request for the U.S. Department of Transportation. In his questions to Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, Murphy called attention to this morning’s closure of I-95 in Norwalk and highlighted the importance of continued investment in the Federal-State Partnership program to upgrade rail in Connecticut and cut commute times.
