WASHINGTON–U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), a member of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, announced on Monday that Connecticut State Representative Eleni Kavros DeGraw will be his guest to Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ address to a joint session of Congress tomorrow.

“I’m looking forward to having Rep. Kavros DeGraw as my guest for Prime Minister Mitsotakis’ address to Congress tomorrow. Eleni is a proud Greek American and has been very active in making sure we keep good community-to-community ties between our two countries,” said Murphy. “At a time when it’s critical that the world’s democracies stand together to counter rising authoritarianism, the U.S.-Greek relationship has never been stronger.”

“I am excited to be included because of my Greek heritage for Prime Minister Mitsotakis’ historic visit. I hope that as he reaffirms the excellent long-standing relationship the United States and Greece have enjoyed, he will also update us on the vision he has for Greece in the 21st century,” said Kavros DeGraw.

Murphy traveled to Greece last year on a CODEL with U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.), where they met with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias and young Greek leaders to reaffirm the U.S.-Greece relationship.
