WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) on Sunday released the following statement after Attorney General William Barr delivered his summary of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s nearly two-year-old investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and potential ties to the Trump campaign, as well as possible obstruction of justice to Congress. Murphy called on Barr to make the full report public.

“Attorney General Barr needs to make the entire Special Counsel’s report public immediately. Congress should be able to review the evidence independent of the interpretation of Trump-appointed allies like the Attorney General. This is too important to our democracy to keep anything hidden from public view, especially when the future of our democracy is at stake,” said Murphy.
