U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.)  on Friday released the following statement to mark Veterans Day.

“Today we put aside our differences and our anxiety about the world around us to thank the men and women who have sacrificed so much for this great nation. It is to their service that we owe our freedom. For that, I am eternally grateful.”

Murphy continued, “Connecticut is the proud home of over 200,000 veterans. Our state has made great strides in improving access to health care and reducing homelessness among our veterans, but there’s still a lot more work to do. If you or a loved one is a veteran and needs assistance with services or benefits, please reach out to my office. You have earned them, and we are here to help.”
