WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) released the following statement regarding the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which is expected to pass the Senate late this evening:
This NDAA is good news for Connecticut's defense manufacturers and the tens of thousands of jobs that the industry supports in our state. It includes a commitment to continue to build two submarines per year – something our delegation fights hard for all year long – and will help ensure that workers involved in helicopter and jet engine production in our state can keep making the critical equipment that our men and women in uniform depend on.
