WASHINGTON —U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) selected 15 elementary, middle, and high school students from across Connecticut as winners of his second annual ‘Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Essay Challenge.’ The winning essays and pictures can be viewed below. Click on each student’s name to download his or her essay.
Approximately 700 students submitted essays to Murphy’s office reflecting on Dr. King’s dream and their own aspirations. Murphy celebrated the winners at a pancake breakfast on January 27th. In addition to being available below, the winning essays are on display in Murphy’s Hartford office.
