HARTFORD – U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) announced on Monday that LogoSportswear of Wallingford is this week’s “Murphy’s Monday Manufacturer.” LogoSportswear manufactures customized apparel, such as t-shirts, sweatpants, aprons, team jerseys, and accessories for small- and medium-sized businesses, schools, teams, and leagues. Founded in 1995, the company operated out of Cheshire, Connecticut, for 20 years before moving to a larger facility in Wallingford in 2015. LogoSportswear carries more than 5,000 customizable products, and serves a renowned list of customers, including Coca Cola, Deloitte, Dominos, Extreme Motor Sports, Google, Home Depot, Johnson & Johnson, Motorola, Pepsi, T-Mobile, The Voice, and Zoosk. To date, more than 25 million custom designs have been created on their website.

With the help of 130 Connecticut workers, LogoSportswear has seen continuous growth in jobs and revenue each year. They have been named a Marcum Tech Top 40 Company twice, and in 2009, were recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the fast growing companies in America. The Wallingford manufacturer recruits employees from various Connecticut colleges, including Central Connecticut State University and Southern Connecticut State University.

LogoSportswear partners with local food pantries, such as Boys & Girls Club and United Way, to host annual employee food and toy drives to support families in the local community. They are also proud to donate apparel and other products to registered non-profits, charities, and fundraisers on a weekly basis.

“LogoSportswear is proof that today’s manufacturing is about state-of-the-art technology and design,” said Murphy. “LogoSportswear is using cutting-edge printing techniques to serve some of the world’s biggest companies, and they’ve created more than 100 Connecticut jobs in the process.”

"Connecticut has a long history of manufacturing and we're excited to be a part of that history. As an online retailer, we could have chosen anywhere to establish ourselves – but the community and the talent pool in Connecticut is like no other. We're proud to be headquartered here."

The manufacturing industry plays a crucial role throughout Connecticut communities, creating new jobs and accelerating our state’s economic recovery. Today, Connecticut’s 4,600 manufacturers account for 10% of the state’s jobs and 87% of the state’s total exports. In order to protect and grow manufacturing jobs in Connecticut, Murphy has introduced two pieces of legislation that aim to strengthen existing standards and prioritize the purchase of American-made goods, the 21st Century Buy American Act and the American Jobs Matter Act.
