HARTFORD – U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) announced on Monday that TTM Technologies of Stafford is this week’s “Murphy’s Monday Manufacturer.” TTM operates two major facilities in Connecticut – one on Old Monson Road in Stafford (TTM Stafford) and the other on Industrial Park Drive in Stafford Springs (TTM Stafford Springs). TTM Stafford manufactures printed circuit boards, while TTM Stafford Springs provides electromechanical design and assembly services. TTM’s Stafford and Stafford Springs facilities serve customers in the aerospace and defense industries, including Boeing, BAE, General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and United Technologies. TTM has operated facilities in Stafford, Connecticut, since 1964.

TTM employs 660 dedicated Connecticut workers. 418 workers are employed out of TTM Stafford, and 242 workers are employed out of TTM Stafford Springs. TTM recently expanded their Stafford Springs facility and opened a brand new Radio Frequency (RF) Center of Excellence in January. The center hired 20 full-time workers to staff the facility.

“TTM has called Connecticut home for decades. They’re continuing to expand their Connecticut footprint, and that’s a testament to our state’s skilled and devoted workers,” said Murphy. “My office was thrilled to help TTM celebrate the grand opening of their RF Center of Excellence back in January, and I can’t wait to see the facility grow.”

“TTM has enjoyed manufacturing in Connecticut for over 50 years and is the industry leader in high reliability Aerospace & Defense printed circuit boards. We are pleased with our recent building expansion in support of both our customer and employee base,” said Phil Titterton, President of TTM’s Aerospace & Defense/Specialty Business Unit.

The manufacturing industry plays a crucial role throughout Connecticut communities, creating new jobs and accelerating our state’s economic recovery. Today, Connecticut’s 4,600 manufacturers account for 10% of the state’s jobs and 87% of the state’s total exports. In order to protect and grow manufacturing jobs in Connecticut, Murphy has introduced two pieces of legislation that aim to strengthen existing standards and prioritize the purchase of American-made goods, the 21st Century Buy American Act and the American Jobs Matter Act.
