WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) released a Casework Recap on Monday highlighting the wide range of accomplishments his office achieved for Connecticut residents throughout the 114th session of Congress. Murphy’s office recovered $4.9 million for Connecticut constituents and helped nearly 4,000 individuals in all parts of the state with matters related to federal agencies, such as the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, the Social Security Administration, and the Department of Homeland Security. This work is focused on ensuring that Connecticut residents’ rights are respected, that they receive the benefits they are owed, and that any procedural errors they encounter are corrected.

“This is money that makes a real difference in the lives of Connecticut families. Helping people in Connecticut get what they’re owed is some of the most rewarding work I do in the Senate,” said Murphy. “I hope that anyone in Connecticut who needs help will reach out to my office – that’s what we’re here for.”
