WASHINGTON — U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) announced on Tuesday that Marc Nemeth, President of Jonal Laboratories, Inc. – a Meriden-based manufacturer of elastomeric seals for the aerospace industry – will join him in attending French President Emmanuel Macron’s address to a joint session of Congress on Wednesday. Jonal Laboratories is a manufacturer of elastomeric seals for the aerospace industry and is a supplier of products to the European aerospace market. In 2015, Jonal Laboratories received the President’s “E” Award, the highest recognition any U.S. company can receive for making a significant contribution to the expansion of U.S. exports, in part because of their efforts to export their products to France and around Europe.

“I invited Marc to join me at President Macron’s joint address to Congress to represent all of the Connecticut manufacturers who are growing their businesses and exporting their goods around the world, “ said Murphy. “Jonal Laboratories has an impressive track record of selling their goods in Europe, and they’ve developed strong relationships with France. That’s great news for Connecticut. Increasing Connecticut exports means more business and new jobs for our state’s workers. I’m grateful for the strong alliance we have with France, and I’ll keep fighting to make it easier for Connecticut’s manufacturers to export their goods and do business abroad.”

“It is such a thrill to be invited to President Macron’s speech to Congress by Senator Chris Murphy, who is a strong advocate for Connecticut and U.S. manufacturing. Jonal’s deepening involvement in the European Aerospace Industry whose heart is in France is a testament to our long term commitment and our government’s support for U.S. global exports,” said Marc Nemeth, President of Jonal Laboratories, Inc.
