WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) on Wednesday announced that Jamie Geller joined his office as Communications Director. Geller joins Murphy’s office after serving as Rep. Joaquin Castro (TX-20)'s Senior Advisor and Communications Director. Previously, Geller served on the House Foreign Affairs Committee as a Professional Staff Member and Deputy Communications Director. She also spent time at the Jerusalem Post, Brookings, and the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism. 

“I'm thrilled Jamie is joining our team. Jamie is an experienced strategic communications professional who will help guide our communications efforts as I begin my second term representing the people of Connecticut. Her work on national security and foreign policy will be invaluable to me,” said Murphy. 

“I’m excited to join Senator Murphy and the team he has assembled that work tirelessly on behalf of the people and values of Connecticut,” Geller added. “From addressing gun violence, increasing access to health care, and advocating for a progressive, smart foreign policy, Senator Murphy has been a leading voice for our nation and it’s an honor to join in the fight for the ideals and principles he stands for.” 

Geller has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in International Security and a master’s degree in Security Studies from Georgetown University.
