HARTFORD – U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) announced today that Chris Harris joined his office as Communications Director. Harris joins Murphy’s office after serving as Communications Director on Mark Udall’s campaign for Colorado’s U.S. Senate seat in the 2014 midterm election. Prior to joining Udall’s campaign, Harris served as Communications Director at American Bridge 21st Century and as Senior Communications and Research Director at Media Matters for America. In 2008, Harris served the Kansas Democratic Party as Communications Director.

“I'm thrilled Chris is joining our team. He is a seasoned and strategic communicator who brings years of experience to our office. At Media Matters and American Bridge, Chris helped build two of Washington’s most effective progressive organizations, and I'm so pleased he will be leading our communications efforts as we start the new Congress,” said Murphy.

Harris holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and political science from Kansas State University.
