WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) - In an effort to end violence against women, Connecticut lawmakers are visiting the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence in Wethersfield on Monday.

This comes after the U.S. House of Representatives reauthorized the Violence Against Women Act. U.S. Senators Chris Murphy and Richard Blumenthal will have a discussion with advocates, law enforcement and prosecutors about the important resources the act provides.

They will also call on the senate to hold a vote on the legislation.

The meeting will be set in Wethersfield at noon.
