WTNH) — Sen. Chris Murphy launched the “Fed Up” initiative Thursday, to hear directly from Connecticut commuters about changes that need to be made to the state’s transportation infrastructure.

Murphy used Periscope to livestream his commute from Milford to Norwalk, where he spoke with students at Norwalk High School. Murphy chronicled his hour-long commute along on I-95, sharing stories from Connecticut commuters, taking questions and live-tweeting responses.

This was Murphy’s first broadcast on Periscope. The senator is encouraging constituents to share their commuting stories with him on Twitter using #FedUp.

Murphy will use these commuter experiences to inform his actions in Washington as he pushes for increased federal funding for infrastructure projects.
