A local business has been highlighted as part of U.S. Senator Chris Murphy's (D-Conn.) series on manufacturers across the state. Bausch Advanced Technologies, Inc., a specialist in the manufacturing of customized systems for primary packaging of syringes, cartridges and vials for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, was recognized for its more than 15 years of leadership in its field.
"I'm proud to highlight Bausch Advanced Technologies this week for their innovative thinking and commitment to Connecticut's workforce," Murphy said in a statement. "Bausch's products are made right here in Connecticut and exported around the world. I'm looking forward to watching them continue to grow, and my office is happy to help in any way we can."
Company officials said that they use 90 percent solar energy in operations. They also worked with the state to expand manufacturing capacity by adding a CNC Router.
Bausch has grown in recent years, increasing their staff from 37 to 83 in just two years, and recently completing a 13,000 square foot building that will be home to a new Bausch packaging consumable division and production space for the new patent pending surface decontamination PUV units.
The company is also active in the Clinton community, routinely donating to the Town of Clinton Police Department Canine Fund and Families Helping Families.
